@KilloWertz The internet is a difficult thing. People come and go as they please. Maybe some leave because they get bored here, for others maybe something happened in their lives that we'll never know about. And then there's also the possibility of somehow caring for people you have never met. I don't think it will ever not confuse me.

Anyway, I really enjoy all you regulars here.

@Max_Headroom Horizon Zero Dawn, Horizon Forbidden West

I bought Reternal but couldn't get it to load (read some players have had problems) so took it back and swapped it for Horizon Forbidden West as i liked the first game, i am loving it i had forgotten how good the original was and with the added bonus of feeling how the adaptive triggers make the game feel it really is amazing.

I am also blown away by how the games looks on a 1440p monitor it really was worth the expense switching up from 1080p, i posted this in another forum but thought i would add it so other PS5 owners thinking of changing would see it -

I now have the ASUS TUF VG27AQ1A Quad HD 27" IPS LCD Gaming Monitor set up and it supports HDR10 so i set it using the video instructions below although its self-explanatory.

I put my Horizon Forbidden West disc in and was blown away by how good the game looks the detail in her face at the beginning when she is talking was stunning you could even see the pores on her skin, having played for an hour i can honestly say the jump from 1080p to 1440p is worth the money and as mine has two HDMI ports i am using it as my desktop PC screen, it looks great as a PC monitor when sitting 60 CM from the screen.

TUF Gaming VG27AQ1A Gaming Monitor – 27 inch WQHD (2560 x 1440), IPS, 170Hz (Above 144Hz), 1ms MPRT, Extreme Low Motion Blur, G-SYNC Compatible, HDR 10
27 inch WQHD (2560 x 1440) IPS gaming monitor with ultrafast 170*Hz refresh rate designed for professional gamers and immersive gameplay
ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blur (ELMB) technology eliminating ghosting and tearing for sharp gaming visuals with high frame rates.
G-SYNC Compatible, delivering a seamless, tear-free gaming experience by enabling VRR (variable refresh rate) by default.
Shadow Boost enhances image details in dark areas, brightening scenes without over-exposing bright areas

@Max_Headroom shame about Returnal but glad that you’re enjoying Horizon: Zero Dawn so much. That game caught so much shade at launch but it really is a top quality game!

4 hours in and i have hardly scratched the surface, still enjoying the wow factor and gameplay i think this will take a while to finish.

@Max_Headroom aye it’s a big old game fair play, think I ended up putting 80+ hrs in myself.

To be completely honest with you, I think the only thing I'd list that's playable on PS5 alone is Astrobot. Ghostwire Tokyo was enjoyable but I personally didn't get an awful lot out of Demons Souls, Returnal, Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart or Deathloop. Having said that, they're all produced to a very high degree of quality, it just depends what kind of games you enjoy.

Other notable games I particularly enjoyed that are cross generation are Ghost of Tsushima, Death Stranding, Sniper Elite 5 and Final Fantasy VII Remake. Again, other very high quality games that I didn't really get along with were Horizon Forbidden West, God of War Ragnarok and Elden Ring. Just depends on personal taste.

@Max_Headroom While I can't have an exact time now since Burning Shores added probably a good 10 hours to my playtime, I probably got roughly 115-120 hours out of Horizon Forbidden West before DLC. @colonelkilgore is a slacker.

@colonelkilgore A jammy slacker!

Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

@Max_Headroom I'm glad that you're loving the game so much. It does have some great side quests, especially ones dealing with each specific area you end up visiting. It's as if each area has it's own little story honestly.
